Outlook Contacts - PEOPLE notes do not match "VIEW SOURCE" notes

Our environment- Exchange 2013 with Outlook 2010  (and OWA 2013)

Basically this is what we're experiencing...

A lot of people here put notes in their Outlook contacts in the Notes field.  But- what we're seeing is that oftentimes, the notes appear in the "People" view, but if you click "View Source" and open up the full Contact editing window, the Notes field is blank.
Then, in the "View Source" view,  if you add something to that blank Notes field, it will wipe out and replace what was in the "People" view notes field.

We do use Cached Exchange Mode.  Since the issue flares up here and there and not all the time, it would seem to be like it's maybe a Cached Exchange mode issue..  But I did test the issue by opening up one of the mailboxes that exhibited the issue Online and the problem was the same. 

I hope that is all clear.  So- why the two different Notes fields that don't match, and how do I resolve it when it happens, and avoid it?

Hi,

There is no feature in Exchange side to manage the People/Contact view for a individual user in Outlook. Please post a new thread to Outlook forum for more professional suggestions.

Personal suggestion: create a new profile and reconfigure the account in the new profile to check this issue.
